Plug-in Media is looking for an experienced Storyboard Artist.  The Storyboard Artist will work closely with the Director to craft visual narrative for the second season of our broadcast animation series, Tee and Mo (20 x 7min episodes).  Tee and Mo is a storyboard driven show and we’re keen to meet experienced boarders who car forward and establish the narrative of each episode through extensive thumbnail passes and dynamic key posing.

Summary of the role:

• To illustrate the narrative with planning shots and drawing panels to demonstrate action and maintain continuity between scenes of animation
  
• Meet with the Director to discuss objectives of storyboard; what is desired or to be achieved
  
• Create storyboards by implementing storytelling objectives
  Follow instructions of Director
  
• Ensure quality and style of show is consistently achieved in the storyboard 
  
• Deliver all panels in a manner consistent with the production pipeline relevant to the Animatic Editor
  
• Follow proper document management requirements (i.e. file naming and storage) according to the productions guidelines
  
• Meet all deadlines as determined by Animation Producer and Production Manager

Person Specification

• Have previous storyboarding experience on an animated series
  
• Have excellent, fast drawing skills
  
• Strong staging and composition skills
  
• Be able to take direction and be prepared to make changes to your work in response to constructive feedback
  
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn applicable software (Photoshop, Storyboard Pro)
  
• Be able to follow established designs and produce consistent work, drawn on model
  
• Work well under pressure

This is a freelance position working between early April and late July.
