Announcing Supertato!

We’re in the news again!  As announced in last Friday’s Kidscreen bulletin, we can now share that the project we are working on with Blue Zoo, is a 52x7-minute 2D animated comedy for CBeebies, called Supertato.  The project is being co-produced by BBC Studios and Chinese streamer, Tencent Video, and is based on the bestselling book series of the same name, written by fellow Brightonians, Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet. It revolves around the world’s first potato superhero and his supermarket battles against the villainous Evil Pea.

A comedy, aimed at 4-6 year olds, Supertato is right up our street, and is currently in early-stage production. As we announced back in August, we’re really excited to be able to use this opportunity to build a new powerhouse for animation in the city, and we’re currently recruiting a number of roles - available on our Jobs page, with more to follow in the coming months.  If you fancy being part of our exciting journey, please get in touch.
