BAFTA number 4!!!

Plug-in Media came back from the 2016 BAFTA Children’s award ceremony with our fourth gong. Our Get Well Soon Hospital app won in the Interactive: Adapted category. The Get Well Soon app is designed to help children with their first trips to hospital, taking place across 5 hospital wards. Each room serves to treat the most common hospital treatments kids are most likely to encounter, and offers opportunities to learn and play with the Get Well Soon puppets.

We worked on Get Well Soon Hospital with Kindle Entertainment and The Wellcome Trust and are delighted to share this BAFTA with them. Dr. Ranj praised the production team for making the app and talked about the positive response from parents using the app to help their children be more settled when in hospital. He said the app is “not just fun, but really helpful – and that’s what makes it so worthwhile.”

We were up against some stiff competition from PJ Masks, CBeebies and Star Wars – all projects worthy of winning. To be chosen out of such a cohort of excellent games feels incredibly humbling. Not only that, but we have another shiny award to display in our meeting room.
