Tee and Mo's 3rd Children's BAFTA Nomination
10 years after our first Children's BAFTA award in 2009, we are thrilled to announce that our latest Tee and Mo song, Help Our Little World, has been honoured on this year's shortlist, in the short-form category. It's our second nomination in this category - our last being for Come on Get Up in 2016 and the original Tee and Mo games were nominated back in 2014 in the interactive category. As a next-generation production company, the fact that we've received nominations across both interactive and linear content, just serves to strengthen our resolve to deliver children's content across multiple platforms.
The song focuses on a subject of increasing relevance for families the world over - the environment, and how we can do our bit to look after the planet that we all share. The environmental issues that face us are huge, and their impact is being felt everywhere. Help Our Little World contextualises these big issues with a message that the CBeebies audience can not only understand, but also feel empowered to do something about. Tee and Mo are uniquely placed to deliver a message to children and their caregivers enabling them to consider how they can best take action to have an impact together.
The launch of the song has been accompanied with a social media campaign pushing sustainable behaviours and the Our Little World game on the CBeebies website and within the Playtime Island app.
As ever, the standard in the category is extremely high. We're up against some other brilliant short-form content including CBeebies Bedtime Stories, Labuntina and A Whale's Tale. One of the things we love about working in children's content is the collaboration that is possible within our sector, and having previously made a game for Labuntina and built the Hope Works website for A Whale's Tale, we couldn't help but wish our fellow nominees the very best.
Help Our Little World is sung by BBC Radio 6 Music DJ Lauren Laverne, written by Creative Director, Dominic Minns, and Tee and Mo songwriters; Ellie Wyatt and Joss Peach and animated in-house by the Plug-in Media team. It's available to watch on BBC iPlayer, the CBeebies Channel, and on YouTube. The song is also available to download or stream on Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play and Amazon Music.
